Arcia Cortel squeezed the bridge of her nose, visibly suppressing her annoyance. The Proconsul barely restrained her glare as she looked at the holo of an Officer from Engineering who had reported a problem.
“I don’t care what it takes. Fix it. And have someone escort Captain Bleu to the shuttle, so that he. Doesn’t. Get. Lost. Again!”
She terminated the call midway through the affirmative message from the officer, teeth clenched tightly. Her hand twitched as she resisted the urge to grasp her pistol and blow out the Ryn’s kneecap - an urge which grew with each encounter.
“Admiral Cortel?” One of the Communications Officers spoke up.
The Proconsul sighed. “What is it, Corporal?”
“There’s an encrypted holocall for you. We’ve traced it back to Port Ol’val.”
“Patch it through on the private terminal.”
“Yes, ma’am!” the Corporal saluted as she walked past, headed towards the enclosed space for the private communications.
As soon as the female shut the door and activated the call, the now familiar figure of the Qel-Droman Quaestor appeared.
“Edraven. What do you need?”
“Orders just came in, Admiral. More specifically, through a contract directly from the Iron Throne. Patch in Councilor Vorsa - this concerns the both of you.”
Arcia sighed and flipped to a separate frequency before connecting the calls. As soon as the hologram of the Neti appeared, Celevon started speaking.
“My apologies for being abrupt, Councilor. A situation has come up that requires the immediate attention of the both of you. If you would place your hands on the biometric scanners, your mission details will immediately download to a datapad. This is beyond my pay grade. Good luck to the both of you ladies. Edraven out”
