Bridge Of The Darkest Night
The bridge of the Bothan Assault Cruiser shuddered as the shields absorbed another volley of enemy fire. Rayze maneuvered across the deck as though he had been born under worse conditions — which, according to many rumors, he may have been born in the cockpit of a fighter under much worse conditions. He approached the two men he was looking for and heard the heated conversation taking place between them, remaining silent for the moment until one of the two recognized him.
“You’re pulling one of my best pilots while we’re in the middle of a fracking battle! No, I do not agree with the necessity!” The Executive Officer and acting Captain of the Assault Cruiser, Thel Keikodi, sounded less than pleased.
“I assure you, the importance of this operation takes precedence, Captain. Three pilots is all we need.” The Aedile of Galeres remained calm, extending a single hand to signal Rayze to wait. He weathered the heated stare of the Captain, who finally broke the staring contest and strode away, barking orders to his command staff.
The Aedile and acting Commander of the Galeres forces turned to Rayze and saluted. “We don’t have much time, Erinos. I’ve heard from others of your family that you are one of the best pilots Arcona has to offer. We’ve received a request that I have tasked you to fulfill.” Uji removed a datapad from his jacket and handed it to the pilot.
The pilot began to speak, then, thinking better of it, calmed himself for a moment. “Sir, how is this possibly more important than my being among the fleet right now?”.
“Dismissed, Erinos, see to your task,” said the Aedile instead of answering him, turning back to the chaos of the battle happening all around them.

Rayze Erinos,
You have been chosen to fulfill a mission by the Antei Contract Bureau on behalf of House Galeres. The risk of informants within Galeres forces required an alternate route be taken to deliver this mission. Our enemies continue to press us from every angle, attempting to find an opening. Unfortunately, they have found one. The Majestic-Class Cruiser Last Light was performing a training operation when the attacks against S.C.E.P.T.E.R and Arcona’s assets began. Her escort was ambushed and has been nearly cripped.
I don’t feel an explanation of what it would cost Arcona if we were to lose this vessel. The Cruiser itself has sustained only light damage as her captain has begun his retreat to Dajorra space with the remaining compliment of his escort… Coordinates for her current location will be uploaded only when you and your team have left the Darkest Night. The only information we have is that the fighter complement for the Last Light was heavily outnumbered and caught unaware.
Your team is waiting for you in the hangar. If you’re as good as your reputation makes you out to be, I expect our Cruiser returned to us without further damage. How you do so. I leave to you: eliminate the enemy, provide cover for the Cruiser, whatever you deem necessary to see the Last Light returned to us. <-
