The Deshade shrugged. “Uneventful as it usually is. Any reason this couldn’t be done over the holonet?”
The Human nodded politely. “Highly classified mission off-world, you know the drill. I believe this mission is uniquely suited to you. Are you familiar with Dr. Arriana Axios?”
“Only in passing: brilliant physician, expert in cybernetics.”
Turel waved his index finger in the air in a gesture of affirmation. “One in the same. I need you to escort her to the Dajorra system for a medical conference. The Shadow Lady of Arcona herself has invited some of our top medical experts to a conference at the Estle City University on Selen. I chose you for this mission because, frankly, you are one of the few who might actually benefit from attending.”
Xan pondered the assignment for a moment. “What’s the threat assessment for this? What support will I have?”
The Councilor handed the Medic a holopad. “Details on are on the holopad. Good luck - your shuttle leaves in four hours.”

Normally this is the type of assignment I would take on myself, but if I spent any more time on Selen people would start to question my allegiance more than they already do. I am sending you to accompany Dr. Arriana Axios to a medical conference at Estle City University on Selen. This is by invitation of the Shadow Lady of Arcona herself, who as a medical practitioner herself may well be in attendance. The conference itself lasts three days.
This is within the heart of the Arconan capital - while they are nominally our allies, be on the lookout for any potential threats both there and en route. Dr. Axios’ expertise is extremely valuable and she is a strong target for kidnapping. O’reenians have targeted her in the past and they may have hired outside groups to carry out the job. Also, Selen has recently undergone a major upheaval in a large scale attack against Arconan interests, so the security situation in the capital is shaky at best. The conference is still going forward so proceed with caution.
I have also provided you with an encoded holo frequency that you can use if you run into a situation that you cannot handle. I cannot tell you who, but if you call, someone I trust in Arcona will come to your aid. I have already told them about your mission.
