Phase I objectives

‘‘Phase I begins on October 14th and ends on October 28th (two (2) weeks)’’

After intercepting a transmission from the now destroyed Brotherhood Listener ship, the Psi Termina I, your team has been hand-picked and sent on a mission. You are already boarded on the Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser Akan, arriving in an Imperial boarding craft through the auxiliary starboard hangar, only several decks below your target. The Akan’s hyperdrives and major systems have been disabled by ion cannons from escorting ships and a battle still rages outside.

The ship’s power fluctuates with every blow from turbo lasers and ion cannons and you have limited time to complete your mission. The Collective regiment typically onboard is currently deployed, but ship security is fully staffed and some elements of the regiment may still be onboard. Intel expects Soldiers and Partisans onboard.

Your team has been tasked to complete one of the following objectives in limited time (you may complete only one (1) objective):

  • Revenge path: Reach the main bridge, face and eliminate Captain Brith Kayle and extract valuable information from the computer core before the fleet destroys the ship.

  • Sabotage path: Reach the primary computer core behind the main bridge, extract the information and set the ship to self-destruct before extracting.

  • Pacifist path: Reach the primary environmental controls on the main bridge, pacify the whole ship with Stun gas before extracting data from the computer core and calling in the cavalry.

Caution: the Captain is accompanied by an unknown number of enemy combatants.

The Phase must end with the bridge secured and the ship either pacified or destroyed. In all but the Revenge path, the Captain’s fate is up to you.

Phase II objectives

Your team left the dreadnought Akan with information that, together with the data analysed by Clans and the Inquisitorius, has lead your to the Meridian Prime space station, a fortress, correctional facility and space dock floating in interstellar space just off the Wild Space boundary. Already under attack by Clan and Dark Council forces, dogfights light up the blackness around the behemoth, and intel suggests the shields and defenses have not yet been weakened enough for a full-scale naval assault. The station is on full alert and firefights have already started as skirmishes between Collective troops and Brotherhood assault teams pepper its three massive hangar bays.

The station houses civilian and enemy personnel, including a correctional facility that holds hundreds of Brotherhood prisoners of war, both Non-Force users and Force users alike. The prison has an isolated security system, its own power generator and life-support. Intel suggests that the prison is managed by a powerful AI (artificial intelligence) controlling the Dioxis security system, many defense blaster turrets, ray shields and a large complement of Imperial Sentry Droids acting as guards, controlled by the prison warden. The interior of the prison itself is pumped with a thin mist of Dioxis gas, preventing escape and anarchy.

You have been dropped off on the lower decks via boarding pod.

Breath masks are provided for this mission, should your team require them. Any Possessions item that prevents inhaling of poisonous gas will be effective as well.

Your team has been tasked to complete one of the following objectives in limited time (you may complete only one (1) objective):

  • Revenge path: Reach the correctional facility and eliminate prison warden Rutgar-4. Caution is advised as there are Imperial Sentry Droids defending him.

  • Sabotage path: Reach the prison’s AI core to recycle the life support and free the prisoners. Prepare for a riot as many prisoners are powerful Force Users and Non-Force Users.

  • Pacifist path: Reach the prison’s AI core and disable the security systems to allow incoming Brotherhood troops to secure the facility.

The phase must end with the prison facility secured, one way or another. In all but the Revenge path, the prison warden’s fate is up to you.

Andrelious

Andrelious J. Mimosa-Inahj landed the TIE/br with the same calmness as he always showed in the cockpit. The battle continued outside; the newly minted Archanis Quaestor had wanted to join the fray in his own TIE Defender, but once it was clear that the opportunity to deal a much harsher blow to the Collective had arisen, Andrelious had volunteered almost immediately.

“I don’t see why we couldn’t have just brought our own ship,” Andrelious’ wife, Kooki, commented crossly. She too had put her name down for the mission even before discovering what it was. The threat that the Collective posed was significant, and their goal of eradicating all Force users meant they were a direct threat to the Mimosa-Inahj children.

Andrelious had to admit that the Alderaanian had a point. His own ship was better equipped and would have allowed a larger team to board the enemy Dreadnaught, but the orders had very specifically demanded that he use the supplied TIE Boarding craft.

“With all respect, sir, I think we should probably think about starting our mission. Judging from the number of Iron Fleet ships out there, I don’t think we’re going to have very long,” Menfo Jibbick, one of the Taldryan soldiers that Andrelious had brought along, stated.

“This won’t take very long, Private. The Akan’s troop detachment were deployed earlier in the battle,” Andrelious answered quickly.

“So let’s get up there and get what we came for. I promised our children that we’d be back before bedtime,” Kooki snapped.

“We’ll have to proceed deck-by-deck. The Collective have modified the hell out of this ship. The turbolifts are probably full of booby traps,” Andrelious explained.

“So how do we get to the Captain?” Kooki questioned.

The Archanis Quaestor gestured to the far side of the hangar. “We’ll use the maintenance ladders. Even the Collective won’t have removed those.

Andan Marshall, one of the first who had transferred into Archanis when it was reopened, glanced across the room. “It’s probably safer than the turbolift, but we’ll have to climb in single file. If they find out what we’re doing, they might be able to pick us off one-by-one,” he stated worriedly.

“Private Jibbick will see to that. Did you bring those smoke bombs I asked for, Private?” the Quaestor asked.

The soldier nodded and revealed half a dozen smoke bombs clipped onto his utility belt.

“Once the smoke bomb’s deployed, Andan, you’ll be the first up the ladder. You’re faster than the rest of us,” Andrelious ordered.

The Zabrak nodded, but Kooki was already heading towards the ladder.

“What are you girls waiting for?” she teased.

Captain Brith Kayle paced up and down the bridge with a sense of panic. He hadn’t been expecting to face such a strong Brotherhood force, but there was little he could do as the Iron Fleet’s ion cannons wreaked havoc with his ship’s systems. Worse, he had been forced to watch helplessly as an enemy TIE Boarding Craft landed in his ship’s hangar. With the majority of the Akan’s trooper contingent elsewhere, there was every chance that the Brotherhood’s agents would be able to secure the valuable data within the Dreadnaught’s computers.

“All external systems are down. We can’t move, return fire, or even keep the shields running,” an engineering officer declared, grimly reading from her console.

“We should probably evacuate, sir,” one of the more senior officers suggested.

“No,” the Rodian commanded. “We made a commitment to the Collective. We stay. We fight. Have our security teams posted across each deck. We’re going to take these Force wielding bastards with us,”

The officer scurried away to carry out the Captain’s orders, but a few of the more experienced bridge crew members glanced across the room at each other, wordlessly questioning Kayle’s methods.

“And as for all of you. Get yourselves armed. We’re not going to concede this bridge.”

Phase III objectives

The Brotherhood advances. What started as sporadic fighting in the major hangar bays of Meridian has turned into an all-out battle on all decks. Spurred by your team’s success in the prison, your Clan forces have come to support you and issue new orders for your team.

Daggo Mouk, one of the leaders of the Collective and the Guildmaster of the Technocratic Guild, has been confirmed on the station. With him he has a potent Technocratic Artifact that, if whisked away, would threaten the position of the Brotherhood in future engagements.

Daggo’s last known position was in the command center, however we have been having trouble following his movements. Wherever he is on the station, he would not leave the artifact unattended. The return of the artifact to Brotherhood hands is of absolute strategic value.

Your team has been tasked to complete one of the following objectives in limited time (you may complete only one (1) objective):

  • Revenge path: Confront and eliminate Daggo Mouk. Have no mercy.

  • Sabotage path: Sabotage the Collective’s future plans by stealing the artifact by any means necessary.

  • Pacifist path: Capture Daggo Mouk for interrogation and trial.

The phase must end with the artifact retrieved. Daggo’s fate is open-ended and up to you.

Andrelious

Andrelious was not entirely convinced by the veracity of the rumours that Daggo Mouk was even on board. To hear that he also possessed some kind of artefact seemed troubling, although almost absurd.

The Brotherhood’s combined attack was going very well. Andrelious, along with Kooki, Andan Marshall and Aeson Rhys, had proven to be quite the thorn in the Collective’s side, even if the enemy had robbed them of their non-Force using support.

“How many more of them is there? I feel like we’ve killed thousands already! I just want to get back to our children!” Kooki complained as she stepped over the corpse of another enemy.

“Even one alive is a threat to our children. These people are zealots. They’re almost as bad as the Jedi,” Andrelious replied, his tone failing to hide that he too missed Poppy, Etty and Mostynn.

“Is that the only reason you’re here? What about the clan?” Andan hissed.

“Taldryan is our home. Of course we fight for them too. What banner do you think our children will mobilise for when they’re older?” Kooki answered, glaring so icily at Andan that he felt as if he were on Hoth.

Andrelious studied a map on his datapad. “If this is accurate, we’ll need to go through two more blast doors before we can get to Mouk. And I expect that they’ve kept their toughest enemies up here to protect whatever in the name of Palpatine he’s supposed to have,”

The Alderaanian’s face fell. “I told you to stop saying that!” she ordered.

“Hard to remember all of your little rules right now,” the Archanis Quaestor responded.

“I think you guys need to stop the domestic…” Aeson intejected, pointing at the blast door directly ahead. It was slowly opening.

All four Taldryanites held their breath…
