LucasFilm and Kathleen Kennedy announced today the addition of two more actors to the Star Wars Episode 7 cast, both of which were selected from the open casting call held across eleven cities last year. The press release also revealed the Abrams-directed film will take a two week break in August to adjust the schedule in response to Harrison Ford's broken leg, which heals well.
Otherwise, the movie remains on schedule for December 2015. Personally, I'm hoping for a teaser trailer attached to one of the fall's big releases. Disney has Big Hero 6 releasing in November for the family crowd, but there's also the blockbuster Interstellar and Hobbit 3 to throw a trailer on even though they're not Disney films.
The (in my opinion) rock solid cast of Episode 7 thus far is: Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o, Gwendoline Christie, Crystal Clarke, and Pip Anderson.
